BY AIR: The distance airport to Yuksom is Bagdogra Airport which is located in Siliguri, West Bengal at a distance of 172 km from Yuksom. Bagdogra airport is connected to cities like Kolkata, Delhi and Guwahati. To reach Yuksom from Bagdogra airport, one has to hire a taxi to Jorethang first, which can take four to five hours to reach Jorethang (It can take more or even less, it all depends on situation like Traffic jams, side cutting etc).

BY TRAIN: The two distance railway stations are Silliguri () and New Jalpaiguri (). To reach Yuksom from these stations, one has to hire a taxi to Jorethang first, which can take four to five hours to reach Jorethang (It can take more or even less, it all depends on situation like Traffic jams, side cutting etc).

BY JEEPS:Yuksom is connected by a strong road network to all major parts of Sikkim and out of State as well. Public transports are available from Silliguri to Jorethang, you can take a shared taxi from NJP to Jorthang which you can get outside the NJP station. It takes 4 to 5 hours to reach Jorthang (). From Jorethang Public transports leaves for Yuksom within 1:30 an or even at 5:00 Pm depending on the condition of passengers. Go to the taxi stand (anybody will guide you there) and take another shared taxi to Yuksom. A shared taxi charges Rs 150 per seat (Fare recorded until 2015) from Jorthang to Yuksom. As it is a long distance journey only one available direct Vehicle from Yuksom to Silliguri do not travel on regular basis. Hence it is wise to take shared jeeps from Silliguri to Jorethang or contact us before one week, we can manage arrange (Reserved) Vehicle for you. Which will drop you directly at Limboo Homestay from Silliguri.

Foreigners must obtain Restricted Area Permit (RAP) from Sikkim Tourism Offices at Delhi, Kolkata, Silliguri, Rangpo, and Melli on the strenght of valid Indian Visa. the total permissible duration of stay to the foreign tourist is 60 days. initially 30 days duration permit is issued on production of photocopies of the passport and visa details along with two passport photoes. Permit can be futher extended twice for 15 days each. The extension of the permits can be obtained from foreigners Registration Office at Gangtok and Office of the superintendent of Police in the Nort, West and south Districts. For trekking in the interior region of the state the Department of Tourism issues Protected Area Permit (PAP) At Gangtok Which is Available for Groups consisting of two or more foreigners subject to the condition that the treking programme is arranged through a registered travel agency.

Yuksom

Yuksom is situated 33 kilometers away from Pelling and in recent years it has turned into tourist hotspot because it serves as the base for famous Dzongri Goechela Trek. The first king of Sikkim was coronated here on the throne made of stones close to norbugang monastery and chorten. The footprints of one of the lamas, Latsun chembo, who consecrated the king can also be seen close to the throne. The Small but beautiful Kathok Lake is also situated in Yuksom and is a nice place to spend a quite moment. About a two kilometers walk uphil from Yuksom is the Dubdi monastery which is the oldest Monastery in Sikkim.
